How soon we forget!

I'm just about sick of hearing from Democrats that Republicans could care less about blacks, hispanics, or other races in the US.

Let's get this straight:

George W. Bush nominated Estrada to a position on the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C.Circuit on May 9, 2001.; the court is very influential, and is widely seen as a stepping stone to the Supreme Court.

The following is a statement from a Hispanic Women from CWA (Concerned Women for America). "That much is clear when you remember the abuses committed by Democratic senators against Miguel Estrada, the first Hispanic nominated to the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. As you'll recall, unable to block Estrada's nomination in the Senate Judiciary Committee and knowing he would be confirmed if a full Senate vote was allowed, Democrats used an unprecedented and unjust partisan filibuster to prevent a vote from ever taking place." OH MY!!!! NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK THE DEMOCRATS WOULD BE SAYING ABOUT THE REPUBLICANS IF THEY FILIBUSTERED SOTOMAYER'S APPOINTMENT? Oh the bigotry of the democratic party!

Estrada received a unanimous "well-qualified" rating from the American Bar Association. Democratic Senators opposed the nomination, noting Estrada's lack of any prior judicial experience at the local, state, or federal level. Democratic Senators also objected to the refusal by the Office of the Solicitor General to release samples of Estrada's writings while employed there. Republicans, however, stated that the Democratic concerns were actually just an attempt to deny Estrada a circuit court seat because of his conservatism.

I find it hysterically funny that the Democrats love, love Hispanics but did every thing in their power to stop Estrada....Wonder why? WHAT? Republicans nominating a Hispanic who would for sure move on to be the 1st Hispanic on the US Supreme Court. NEVER...the Democrats could never let that happen.... how WOULD that look to their smear campaign...that "The Republican Party is just a good ole' white boy party". Eat it up liberals...we have you number!

My take....who cares. It's gonna happen no matter what the reps think or say. I say the woman needs to drop the reverse racism attitude.... and needs to learn exactly what the role of a judge is....

And perhaps if she can get that shit straight.... she's probably no worse than anyone else Obama would pick. So I'm saying ruff her up about her racist views during the Senate hearings, set her straight about the role of a judge .....and she should be good to go.

Oh and a makeover....would be a definite plus. Oh wait... she's a liberal... they take pride in being dog ugly!

In Tennessee we really do pull off the road and stop for funerals......nobody moves until the last car has gone by.

What follows is a message from Vicki Pierce about her nephew James' funeral (he was serving our country in Iraq ): However, the most incredible thing was what happened following the service on the way to the cemetery.

We went to our cars and drove to the cemetery escorted by at least 10 police cars with lights flashing and some other emergency vehicles, with Tennessee police handling traffic. Everyone on the road who was not in the procession,pulled over, got out of their cars, and stood silently and respectfully, some put their hands over their hearts.

When we turned off the highway suddenly there were teenage boys along both sides of the street about every 20 feet or so, all holding large American flags on long flag poles, and again with their hands on their hearts. We thought at first it was the Boy Scouts or 4 H club or something, but it continued for two and a half miles.

Hundreds of young people, standing silently on the side of the road with flags. At one point we passed an elementary school, and all the children were outside, shoulder to shoulder holding flags kindergartners, handicapped, teachers, staff, everyone.

Some held signs of love and support. Then came teenage girls and younger boys, all holding flags. Then adults. Then families. All standing silently on the side of the road. No one spoke, not even the very young children. The military presence, at least two generals, a fist full of colonels, and representatives from every branch of the service, plus the color guard who attended James, and some who served with him .

It was very impressive and respectful, but the love and pride from this community who had lost one of their own was the most amazing thing I've ever been privileged to witness I've attached some pictures, some are blurry (we were moving), but you can get a small idea of what this was like.

Memorial Day

Sometimes this idiot you liberals voted in as the POTUS urks me beyond no end.

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama urged Americans to pay tribute to veterans on Memorial Day, saying the nation all too often has "failed to live up to that responsibility."

Ok I seriously try not to be offensive on my blog however this fkn idiot thinks all of America acts like he acts on Memorial Day. There are some of us who have been proud of our country since we were very very young, errr not like Ms. Obama who just recently became proud of her county well into her 40's.

Yes Mr. IOTUS (idiot of the US)... most of us have grown up on traditions of remembering our veterans and supporting out troops on Memorial day.... Welcome to the club.......FINALLY!

You liberals need to look at the facts. The RNC raised $5.4 million in contributions April, giving the committee $24.4 million on hand. The DNC, in the same month, raised $.4.4 million, leaving it with $9.1 million on hand. Now tell me AGAIN how the Republican party has vanished overnight... lol yeah I got your VANISHING right here!

Newt calls for Speaker Nancy Pelosi to resign!

ABC News reports: Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich today called on current speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., to resign, saying her accusation that the CIA lied to her threatens national security!

She really disqualified herself to be the speaker," Gingrich said on "Good Morning America" today. "She has a unique responsibility for national security. ... She made this allegation that smears everyone who's trying to defend her."

Leaving her in her place would be "very dangerous for the country," Gingrich added. I couldn't agree more. I mean the woman is 2nd in line to the presidency, what does this say? She totally smeared the CIA!

I have had it with you and your administration, sir. Your conduct on your recent trip overseas has convinced me that you are not an adequate representative of the United States of America collectively or of me personally.

You are so obsessed with appeasing the Europeans and the Muslim world that you have abdicated the responsibilities of the President of the United States of America . You are responsible to the citizens of the United States .. You are not responsible to the peoples of any other country on earth.

I personally resent that you go around the world apologizing for the United States telling Europeans that we are arrogant and do not care about their status in the world. Sir, what do you think the First World War and the Second World War were all about if not the consideration of the peoples of Europe ? Are you brain dead? What do you think the Marshall Plan was all about? Do you not understand or know the history of the 20th century?

Where do you get off telling a Muslim country that the United States does not consider itself a Christian country? Have you not read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution of the United States ? This country was founded on Judeo-Christian ethics and the principles governing this country, at least until you came along, come directly from this heritage. Do you not understand this?

Your bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia is an affront to all Americans. Our President does not bow down to anyone, let alone the king of Saudi Arabia . You didn't show Great Britain, our best and one of our oldest allies, the respect they deserve yet you bow down to the king of Saudi Arabia .. How dare you, sir! How dare you!

You offended our dead and every veteran when you give the Germans more respect than the people who saved the German people from themselves. You are so self-righteously offended by the big bankers and the American automobile manufacturers yet do nothing about the real thieves in this situation, Mr. Dodd, Mr. Frank, Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelic, the Fannie Mae bonuses, and the Freddie Mac bonuses. What do you intend to do about them? Anything? I seriously doubt it.

What about the U.S. House members passing out $9.1 million in bonuses to their staff members – on top of the $2.5 million in automatic pay raises that lawmakers gave themselves? I understand the average House aide got a 17% bonus. I took a 5% cut in my pay to save jobs with my employer. You haven’t said anything about that. Who authorized that? I surely didn’t!

Executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be receiving $210 million in bonuses over an eighteen-month period, that's $45 million more than the AIG bonuses. In fact, Fannie and Freddie executives have already been awarded $51 million – not a bad take. Who authorized that and why haven’t you expressed your outrage at this group who are largely responsible for the economic mess we have right now.

I resent that you take me and my fellow citizens as brain-dead and not caring about what you idiots do. We are watching what you are doing and we are getting increasingly fed up with all of you.

I also want you to know that I personally find just about everything you do and say to be offensive to every one of my sensibilities. I promise you that I will work tirelessly to see that you do not get a chance to spend two terms destroying my beautiful country.

LOL seconds after the hearings opened... Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., the subcommittee chairman, promised at the outset to unravel "our country's descent into torture" and vowed to expose "a bodyguard of lies" by the Bush administration.

As usual, nothing but lies lies lies! Give me a break. I'm with Cheney... Obama I DARE you to release all those memos, yes indeed...I dare you. Obama won't release them because he doesn't want it know that waterboarding was successful.

So how does Mr. Obama plan to FUND this healthcare package? Among the possibilities: tax increases (let me repeat that....TAX INCREASES) on alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and sugary soft drinks, and restrictions on other health care-related tax breaks, such as flexible spending accounts. LMAO....Obama is going to tax soft drinks....OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!

And my all time favorite is, Mr. Obama plans on taxing your healthcare benefits. OH WAIT... where have you heard that. Now lets think about that...oh wait NOW I remember....it was MCCAIN who said that... you remember....back during the campaign. And WAIT... I remember all during that campaign Obama CRITIZED John McCain for the same program Obama is proposing.

What an idiot. Way to go Obama...you've proven once again ... your lack of experience, your lack of judgement.... and your lack of telling the TRUTH.

Barack Obama is a history buff. When he makes a political point he instinctively reaches for the historical parallel: the Lincolnesque “team of rivals” making up his Cabinet, Winston Churchill’s attitude to torture or his own family’s experience of the Second World War.

The only problem is that he sometimes gets history wrong.

His plan to visit Buchenwald is in part a tribute to his great-uncle, Charlie Payne, who participated in the liberation of Ohrdruf, a satellite camp.

Last May, however, Mr Obama said that his uncle “was part of the first American troops to go into Auschwitz”. Republicans pointed out that it was the Soviets who liberated Auschwitz. hehe

“Unless his uncle was serving in the Red Army, there’s no way Obama’s statement can be true,” a Republican spokesman said.

The Democratic candidate issued a correction, but critical historians have found earlier examples of Mr Obama’s elastic approach to the facts. In 2002 he cited the wartime experiences of his grandfather, Stanley Dunham. “My grandfather . . . heard the stories of fellow troops who first entered Auschwitz and Treblinka.” lol

Treblinka, like Auschwitz, is in Poland, and was also liberated by Soviet troops.

Last week Mr Obama extrapolated from another historical example — the prohibition of torture in wartime Britain — to conclude: “Churchill said ‘We don’t torture’ when . . . all of the British people were being subjected to unimaginable risk and threat.” Historians pounced again, with a flurry of blog postings pointing out that there was no record of Churchill explicitly banning torture. uh oh

Mr Obama will come to Europe next month, in search of history, to mark the 65th anniversary of the D-Day landings. But as he has discovered, history is a double-edged sword.

Early Retirement....hell yeah!!!!!

The Business Section asked readers for ideas on "How Would You Fix the Economy?" I think this guy nailed it!

Dear Mr. President, Please find below my suggestion for fixing America 's economy. Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan.

You can call it the Patriotic Retirement Plan: There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force. - Pay them $1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:

1) They MUST retire. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.
2) They MUST buy a new American CAR. Forty million cars ordered - Auto Industry fixed.
3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - Housing Crisis fixed.

It can't get any easier than that! P.S. If more money is needed, have all members in Congress and their constituents pay their taxes...

ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hmmmm 787 billion.... enough said!

WASHINGTON — Nevada's attorney general on Monday filed criminal charges accusing liberal community activist group ACORN and two of its employees of facilitating voter registration fraud in November's election by requiring canvassers to submit 20 applications each day or face termination.


Nevada Secretary of State Ross Miller and Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto , both Democrats, announced the charges, stressing that there's no evidence that the phony registrations led to the casting of votes using fake identities.
