Controversy on Campus!Yes indeed there is! The American people are in an uproar that the POTUS is going to speak at Notre Dame.
"It is an outrage and a scandal that 'Our Lady's University,' one of the premier Catholic universities in the United States, would bestow such an honor on President Obama given his clear support for policies and laws that directly contradict fundamental Catholic teachings on life and marriage," the petition at notredamescandal.com reads.
Yes, they want to bestow an honorary Doctorate degree for the president who has put forth some of the most anti-life actions of any American president, including expanding federal funding for abortions and inviting taxpayer-funded research on stem cells from human embryos.

Republicans would rather see the embryos tosses in the garbage as to be used in research to help promote life for the ill...The GOP's so called "culture of life" is a sham! They have no problem with killing folks on death row- or dropping bombs that kill civilians...but an unused embryo? The hypocrisy and duplicity that oozes out of the right wing ilk is nauseating.

Diana- in case you haven't noticed, I have been debunking your lies every day for the last 6 weeks. Go back and look at every lame assertion you have posited. One thing that emerges is that you don't give a crap about the dire state of the nation and are using this time in the nation's vulnerability to tear down the president in the hope that he fails. There are more important things than seeing your party return to power. Among them is our survival. Take a page from Sec. Rice who recently stated that We (the opposition) owe it to our President and nation to just be quiet- to not criticize as Dick Cheney has. In a time of war and even before he was sworn in, Dick Cheney was abroad (in IsraeL) BAD MOUTHING OBAMA- Saying he was pro-Palestinian and all manner of lies. He continues his unprecedented tear-down of a new president with one lie after another. Many decent Republicans are fortunately repudiating his breech of patriotic ethics. You need to do the nation a favor too and just STFU. Your constant ankle-humping may help your ego- but it only exacerbates the unhelpful chatter of the hackocracy.
