TOTUS

Ladies and Gentlemen.... let me introduce to you the Teleprompter of the United States, TOTUS Barrack Hussien Obama!

He says he's addicted and trying to stop that addiction. So far it's not working. Didn't work for his cigarette habit, ... and none of us know if it worked on his cocaine habit. You know how those addicting personalities are.

Below I've included a video with part of a town hall meeting speech where his teleprompter went on the blitz. Yes indeed my friends, this is the eloquent speaker Americans voted as POTUS...errr I mean TOTUS.

Critics say Obama relies too heavily on his teleprompter. As Politico notes:

"Obama's reliance on the teleprompter is unusual -- not only because he is famous for his oratory, but because no other president has used one so consistently and at so many events, large and small."

They make an interesting point, why would a president want to be prepared and careful about what he says? The guy who had the job for the last eight years didn't need no stinkin' teleprompter!

Well, David Letterman addressed the outrage recently with his segment 'Teleprompter Vs. No Teleprompter.' It was enlightening to say the least:

Letterman's piece was a classic case of ripping these knit-picking wingnuts a new ahole. Juxtaposing Obama 's masterful telepromter-assisted Oratory with Bush's embarrassing extemporaneous grunts: PRICELESS!

LOL priceless...watch the vid... that is priceless. He makes Bush look like the best speaker in town.

Anyone who is passionate about his job, or knows his business doesn't need a teleprompter.

Indeed Obama proves he doesn't fall into that catagory. I love it, I can't stop laughing. i watch the vid over and over and over and it still cracks me up.

Obama proves time and agin he is a master orator- his news conference the other day was magnificent -where he took a vast array of questions from the media displaying a great depth of knowledge on complex subjects- Your asssertion that he needs a teleprompter is a fiction...besides, why do you give a crap whether he uses one or not? Bush never did- and even when he did- he still sounded like an uneducated jackass. You folks are really busy cobbling together your trivial offenses that fly in the face of objective reality.

Reading from Limbaugh's teleprompter

Almost daily over the past several weeks, conservative leader Rush Limbaugh has been fixated on Obama's use of a teleprompter. Despite the fact that such a device has commonly been used by media figures and past presidents of both political parties, Limbaugh presses on, day-after-day, taking every opportunity to lambaste what he refers to as "TOTUS," or the "teleprompter of the United States."

Apparently reading directly from Limbaugh's own personal teleprompter, several conservative media figures -- including Matt Drudge and Sean Hannity -- uncritically highlighted a March 18 SkyNews.com report that a "teleprompt blunder has led to Barack Obama thanking himself in a speech at the White House in a St Patrick's Day celebration." But as Toby Harnden, U.S. editor for the U.K.'s Telegraph, noted, the pool report of Obama's March 17 event with Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen indicates that in saying, "First, I'd like to say thank you to President Obama," Obama was, in Harnden's words, making "a good-natured and well-received joke" at the expense of Cowen, who earlier in the event had mistakenly read from the teleprompter displaying Obama's speech. Indeed, as early as March 18, Fox News anchor Bret Baier reported that Obama had "jokingly" made the comments in question.

He's fixated on the teleprompter, no matter how you try to portray he's not.

Good effort tho. Hail to the TOTUS

The President knows how to use the tools of technology...previous presidents and would be presidents were simply not bright enough, or skilled enough. There is no shame in using a teleprompter...they were invented for a very good purpose. Bush not only needed a teleprompter- he also needed a English lesson!

ok now that funny, i love it... he knows how to use a teleprompter. lol yes the telepromptor technology is quite difficult. Someone sets it up for the pres, turns it on for the pres and then he reads it. lol

wow still hating on Bush, you should talk to your therapist about that... thats not good.
