WTF???

OSLO – President Barack Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday in a stunning decision (jfc you can say that again) designed to encourage his initiatives to reduce nuclear arms, ease tensions with the Muslim world and stress diplomacy and cooperation rather than unilateralism.

Many observers were shocked (that's putting it lightly) by the unexpected choice so early in the Obama presidency, which began less than two weeks before the Feb. 1 nomination deadline and has yet to yield concrete achievements in peacemaking. (ok wait... he was nominated by who? when? two weeks? what did he do in two weeks? ...... I DEMAND TO KNOW WHO HE IS SLEEPING WITH)

Some around the world objected (You can add a shit-load of Americans to that list too) to the choice of Obama, who still oversees wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and has launched deadly counter-terror strikes in Pakistan and Somalia.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee countered that it was trying "to promote what he stands for and the positive processes that have started now." (Seriously I want to know who is sucking who's dick) It lauded the change in global mood wrought by Obama's calls for peace and cooperation, and praised his pledges to reduce the world stock of nuclear arms, ease American conflicts with Muslim nations and strengthen the U.S. role in combating climate change.

The peace prize was created partly to encourage ongoing peace efforts but Obama's efforts are at far earlier stages than past winners'. The Nobel committee acknowledged that they may not bear fruit at all.

"He got the prize because he has been able to change the international climate," Nobel Committee chairman Thorbjoern Jagland said. "Some people say, and I understand it, isn't it premature? Too early? Well, I'd say then that it could be too late to respond three years from now. It is now that we have the opportunity to respond — all of us."

(HUH? 3 years from now? too late to wait and see if he really does deserve it? too late to see if the man who has not accomplished anything in his first year of presidency really does follow through with his "holding hands around the world campaign".

I bet Henry Kissinger just took his Nobel Peace Prize off the mantle and put it in the donation box. Indeed the award has just be DEMEANED. I'm totally speechless...totally. All kinds of thoughts are running around in this blonde head of mine....

I mean seriously.... Obama becomes president and other countries decide.... woo hoo the peace maker is here we can do what we want. How many missiles did North Korea launch under Bush's reign? Let me answer my own question... ZERO! Within 60 days of Obama taking office North Korea launched over 25 missiles. And Iran decided NICE... just for grins and giggles... we are going to play too.

PEACE BABY....I'm still in shock here. Coffee doesn't seem to be helping! I gotta go and start my nomination for the the Nobel Peace Prize... I mean now that the bar has been dropped, and it is being awarded on PROMISES... I'm sooooooooo nominating myself!!!
