Healthcare Summit...Obama Style!!!

I received an email from the group - Republican Party of Texas about the healthcare summit.  They put it so well I'm going to include the entire email here:

Health Care Summit: Facts vs Emotions

President, Democrats demagogue but fail to persuade

President Obama convened a bipartisan summit in Washington today under the guise of having an open, honest discussion of his health care reform plans. As the day wore on, it became clear that the president and his allies came to the table armed with little more than heart-rending anecdotes, while the Republicans engaged the debate with facts and logic.

When it was all said and done, the Democrats spent about twice as much time talking as the Republicans but said less than half as much that was useful for getting to real reform. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made the bizarre and unfounded promise that the bloated health care bill would create millions of jobs, (everything the Democrats are doing are creating more jobs... where are the jobs?)  while Sen. Tom Harkin (D-IA) even more bizarrely tried to link the health care debate to segregation.

And as the summit progressed, Politico reported that the Democrats hadn't even intended for the summit to advance the debate at all: The Democrats actually planned to use the summit to make the Republicans look bad, and then introduce yet another big government power-grabbing bill next week. And they plan to ram it through by circumventing the normal legislative process via reconciliation.

Is this "change you can believe in?" No, it's just Democrats being Democrats, double dealing to empower themselves and increase the reach of government at every turn.

A solid majority of the American people want the current Democrat health care bills scrapped, and Congress to start over to come up with real reform that will actually help without bankrupting the country or raising everyone's health care costs and taxes. The Democrats' bills will not do this: It's time to junk them and start over.

Today's summit showed that the Democrats aren't about to give up on their dream of growing government power over all our lives via their health care plans. Help us fight them at every turn. Help us keep telling the Obama Democrats to keep their hands off our health care, and keep their hands off Texas.

America has spoken LOUD AND CLEAR.... seems this administration is ignoring Americans.  I hope the Democrats use reconcilliation to blast this new bill created behind closed doors.  It will end their careers.... November '10 will be even more blissful than predicted.
