Theatrics or Politics? Which is it?

Obama to sign stimulus bill today in Denver!

Ok maybe I didn't have enough coffee this morning, but as I sat at my desk and surfed the news online for the morning the above headline caught my attention. HUH? WHAT? Obama is signing the Stimulus Bill in Colorado? Ok let me just be blunt here, I know the world is a stage, but give me a break, it's a bill, a huge spending bill...you need to sign the bill and then start worrying how you are going to reduce the deficit you have just now doubled. I mean Obama in 24 days has created almost as much deficit as Bush did in 8 years. Save the glitz and glamour for the Hollywood crowd, get to your office, sign the frigging spending bill and call it a day. You are already starring as Pinocchio, what more do you need?

The difference Between the way Bush and Obama will have spent hundreds of billions is that Bush invested in nation building in Iraq. Obama is nation Building in America. When it is all said and done, the economy will have been saved, not brought to its knees, we will have new infrastructure, not a crumbling one, we will have created millions of new jobs- not lost them as Bush did. In short, We will have something to show for the money spent... not a black hole with no end in sight.
"I mean Obama in 24 days has created almost as much deficit as Bush did in 8 years" Diana...do you really think before you write? I mean just throwing out baseless commentary may shore up your political ego, but it does little for your credibility.

Sep, you ninny, the recession will be over in less than 12 months with or without this bill. 11% will be spent in 2009, ooops thats a crock... how is that going to help us get out of this recession. However 68% will be spent in year 3...smart man, just in time for re-election. Crock Crock

I'm calling upon Sean Hannity to use his prime time television program as a platform to rally Republican politicians, cable news hacks and citizens alike to refuse delivery of not just recovery bill spending, but all so-called "socialist" government programs. Send it all back. End American socialism now! But if the money somehow gets through Hannity's blockade and steams its way to socialist Republican governors like Charlie Crist and Arnold Schwarzenegger (embracing "economic girly man" status), and if those jobs are created anyway, Sean Hannity ought to heroically command his viewers in these states to not accept those jobs. They're socialist jobs, after all. Bob Cesca

sepblues doesn't recognoze politicians. They'll all grovel for 'free' money. Especially governors then they won't have to tax the citizens for a while.

Spifty- you and your ilk are expert at throwing your own under the bus...the few republican governors bad-mouthing the recovery package should just refuse it-all of it. Not a portion which allows them to reap the benefits while decrying the source of relief. You righties don't get it. Unless the economy gets moving very soon, there will be No economy to worry about. The same old tired fixes espoused by the right are a joke!
