Remember way back when Kerry was running for president. Let me set the stage. Kerry was running for president, Mitt Romney was Gov. of MA at the time and good ole' Ted Kennedy and his dem cronies thought Kerry would win. So the MA dem controlled congress created a law where the Gov. could not appoint a replacement to the senate seat and an election would have to be held within 5 months to elect a new senator.Now Ted really really wanted this law so that Mitt Romney couldn't appoint a new REPUBLICAN senator for MA. Ted got his wish and the law was passed.
So what do you know, Ted is on his deathbed and he writes a letter wanting the law to be overlooked so that if his seat were vacant...(after he kicked the bucket) a person could be immediately put into his seat. And NOT just any person, but a person of LIBERAL persuasion. Goes to show the Liberals are about partisan interest and not principle.
So indeed, the now DEMOCRATIC Senator APPOINTED Paul Kirk as interim senator. How funny is that. The dems make the laws to suit them, and then change the laws to suit them again. Indeed the slimy liberals know how to work the system.
All hail the liberals and the balls they have to make such a bold and partisan move. Obviously the democrats of MA are not about a democratic process. They are all about having the 60 votes to ensure Obama's agenda. Can we all say HYPOCRITS?

Diana I have said this over and over again the "Progressive" mind has 1 intent and one intent only and that is to "Gather and Keep" power at any and all expense. "It is because of this I am a "Libertarian", and will die one. This two party system needs to die and "die quickly", (to coin a phrase)! Democrat, Rupublican, if we send them to Washington to fix the very problems that they know exist then why do they still exist? They know that if the problem does not exist they wont be re-elected. What do they run on "Half hearted efforts to fix the problems they were sent to fix and in many cases the very problems they vowed to fix during their campaigns for office.
The "Progressive" is only interested in "Power" and needs to be done away with.
Enact "Term Limits on ALL Elected Officials"!
Return "America to her Constitutional Values"!
Elected Office was never intended to be a career move. It was meant to be a means of representation of "The People", to the leadership in Washington.
I cringe every time I hear Hannity mention the Blue Dogs and their careers,because the fact that they were elected does not entitle them to a "Career in Govt.", thats just not how it was designed to work. I sent an Email on this topic earlier today from my blackberry expressing my outrage on this topic as I will forward this response to your blog demanding that he start reminding these politicians that their's is a (rather should be a position of limits. Not a career move)!
A career is something you do for 20-25 years and then retire. Elected Office was never intended to be a "Cereer Move"!

BTW I just ordered Glenn Becks "Arguing with Idiots", and I Listen to Hannity Daily.
