The Continuing Saga!
I think everyone has heard again and again the controversy over Obama's citizenship. There are court cases throughout the US screaming... Obama is not a US citizen. For months I've strayed away from any type of "talk" about the BC!
For one, I've not seen it addressed by the mainstream media, nor have I heard of any governmental officials bringing up the matter... well until this weekend. Yes, again this weekend the BC has arisen AGAIN!
On World Net Daily, (yes yes a right wing site) Senator Richard Shelby, R-Ala., told constituents in Cullman County. "You have to be born in America to be president." Sen. Shelby also stated that he had never seen proof of Obama's citizenship.
Now I'm not so caught up in the BC issue. I know that several cases filed against Obama made it to the Supreme Court, and they chose not to hear the evidence. So I'm assuming that if the Justice's saw a need they would of heard the case. My concern is why are all of Obama's documents sealed? I don't understand the reasoning for any of this.
There are numerous articles stating that Obama produced a Certificate of Live Birth, but not the same as a Birth Certificate. I find it all a bit mind blowing. I won't even go into all of the "theories" of Obama's citizenship. However I have to ask the Million Dollar question... why not make all of Obama's records available. Why spend hundreds of thousand of dollars in court cases to keep his records closed. Why won't Obama just provide his records from Occidental College?
I think the more Obama hides his past the more suspicious people become. I for one accept the Supreme Courts decision not to hear the case on Obama's BC, however I'm not sure I understand why Obama has his Occidental College records sealed to the public. Come on Obama, MAN UP and produce those records!!! It's the only way to put a stop to rumors!

It's obvious that you sore-loser Republicans have nothing to add to the national dialogue on bettering America. Thus you sustain yourselves with wild-eyed potshots as you have here. Bobby Jindal was an embarrassment with his GOP reply to The president's message before Congress. Again, taking potshots that prove how clueless he is and how out of touch your party is. The era of transparency has not started yet. It will when the next conservative president is in the white house.
Bush's was one of he most secretive administrations ever- There is NO reason to think transparency in government will ever be greater that that which President Obama is implementing. Imagine, for the first time, every dollar spent in the bailout will be track-able on line by any American. There will be no secret torture or overt torture and no more spying on Americans. Diana- get this straight, Republicans are to be feared- As two terms have shown- they are dangerous. Their self-serving policies have cost lives, bankrupted our economy, placed us in isolation among our allies, lost the respect and moral high ground the US used to own. Their stale mantras and fiscal policies got us into this jam and the polls show, Americans are happy to have a real leader at the helm for a change. No Diana, I do not fear republicans being restored to a position of trust with the American people for a LONG, long time to come.
